I am longing for spring just as much as the next person these days, but that doesn't mean I don't still love to be bundled up at home under a blanket, drinking hot chocolate. And I would like to be doing so in any one of these spaces.

A World of Wallpaper

I am obviously not the first person to say this, but wallpaper is back in a huge way. There are so many beautiful patterns and textures nowadays that, were I actually decorating a home, I just don't know how the hell I would choose. Here are a few of my favorites:

A bathroom is such a good place to start out with wallpaper. You really do get the most impact for the least amount of money. Plus the smaller space allows you to be maybe be more daring with your choice.

And I just had to include this one because it's SO dreamy. I think I'm most attracted to wallpapers with organic, nature-driven themes (hence the vines, trees, coral, koi fish). They're just more soothing to the eye. I'll just have to be careful though because one day every inch of my house may be covered in wallpaper.

Would that really be so bad?

Bottles That Pop

I love the idea of drawing inspiration from one small item and translating throughout an entire room. Whether it's the color, shape, or just the overall aesthetic of the item, it serves as a great starting point when you are picking out paint colors, furniture, and other accessories.

One of the hardest parts about decorating for me is creating the general feel or theme of the room, so if you have just one item that you absolutely love, it makes it so much easier to have that go-to piece to kind of create a theme for you.

I especially love this idea when it comes to styling a bathroom using your favorite fragrance bottle as inspiration.
